​Caitlin Patrick was born in New York but has resided in Virginia since she was a year and a half old. She learned American Sign Language beginning in 1996 when her mother taught her how to sign. Since then, she has become fluent and able to communicate with others who are Deaf and hard of hearing. Caitlin graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Gardner Webb University located in Boiling Springs, NC in 2011; majoring in American Sign Language with a minor in interpreting. She began working with people with disabilities in March 2012 as a teacher assistant, day support specialist but mostly as an employment specialist helping people with disabilities find employment in the community. In January of 2020, Caitlin became certified as a Work Incentive Practitioner and has since been providing services for those who receive SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance).
